Design lead of a project for weekend-long interuniversity design charette held by CCA titled “Housing One by One”. The challenge presented was to create a 1m cube that could be repeated over and over to create affordable housing.
Named after the last President of the Atomic Gardening Society, Muriel is a cell meant to be combined with other cells over and over to create a fully-operational home, with foundations, walls with insulation and a roof.
Similar to the housing cell, it aims to be as flexible in how it can be used, being able to make tables, chairs, chandeliers, wash basins, ect. Final design would include a booklet of possible designs for the cell to grow into.
