Auringonkukka
From the origins of all Indo-European languages, we have used the sound aur and its mutations (ra, ur, our, ect.) for our sun, the source of all colours. Here, I painted auringonkukka, Finnish for sunflower on Mylar film, and explored how colOURs and light interact with this sun.
When colours interact with one another, the results for them can drastically change the overall feel and mood of the colour, along with showing the fragility of different colours when applied over another.
