Lådan - The Box
Ottawa, Canada, 2024
Lådan or The Box is a project originally designed by Ralph Erskine, an idol of mine, in 1941, as a home for himself in his new home country of Sweden. This project was to rebuild this project digitally, learn from Erskine’s design and provide info not easily accessible in English to the English-speaking world.

A backyard coach house designed to fit within a narrow lot, located in Ottawa. This design focused on eliminating waste, reducing costs and limiting the need for heavy machinery, as access to the site was very narrow and the owner wished to build it themselves.
